Region Supports a Wide Array of Retail, Commercial and Personal Services For a region that is largely rural, the retail, personal services and commercial services business community is extensive and widely diverse. Automotive The automotive sector alone has almost 50 businesses offering a wide range of services including sales, service, repairs, parts, autobody, gas sales, towing, and car washes. Retail In the retail sector, grocery stores predominate with 12 operating across the region as well as another nine convenience stores. Seven hardware stores and the same number of florists/gift shops and liquor stores make up the next tier of dominant businesses. Pharmacies Four pharmacies operate in the region to provide for convenient prescription and health-product sales.
Among other business categories with more than one area operator are bakeries, clothing and department stores, video rentals, greenhouses, and furniture/appliances retailers. A wide array of specialty and other business services provide yardcare, office supplies, carpet cleaning, crafts and hobbies, photography, shoe repair and bottled water to name only a few.
